Roles and Sanctions 

 

 

THE SUPERIOR GRAND MASTER:

SGM

 

 

The Superior GM is not untouchable; He can be approached with issues regarding him.

 

He can however never be excluded from the Order, The SGM is the sole ruler if needed. Means if cases can’t be resolved by council, he takes the decision alone.

The SGM also is voting in the Council as he is considered a member of International Dept.

 

Any accusations which are considered to have a sanction, must be agreed with SGM.

He alone decides if there is a case, and if it needs a vote session.

 

The SGM can also alone appoint knights and commanders; other must be voted on CGM or ICGM meetings.

 

 

 

INTERNATIONAL COUNCIL GRAND MASTERS:

ICGM

 

 

If de ranked, the former master will stay the new rank for minimum 6 months. After that the international council votes again for future status.

 

All votes regarding size of the Sanctions against masters, needs an 80% for, and max 20% against.

 

To be accepted. (If not achieved the SGM takes the decision).

 

Who break just one of the golden rules; he or she will be excluded from Imperial Order of St. John Knights of Malta It is up to the International Council to present for Protector and SGM the case, upon that the Protector and the SGM will make the judgment upon the respective ICGM.

 

ICGM is elected by the SGM alone, as they are the most important control unit in the Order.

Each ICGM has to appoint he’s/her own deputy but needs the approval of SGM.

The ICGMs is not allowed to allow projects or members, who are not according to Imperial Order of St. John Knights of Malta ´s standard rules.

 

If breaking a rule and is allowed to stay within the Order. There is a fine on 440 us dollars for every rule they have broken (this equals 2 years of Donation)

In the final decision in where the ICGM are allowed to stay, only the Protector and the SGM are involved, and only there deems are valid.

 

Further are all regalia to be given back to The Imperial Order of St. John Knights of Malta and can be retained after achieving the rank again.

Once regalia are given back to the order, the donation must be paid again for retaining it.

 

The Regalia mentioned here is:

 

When excluded from Imperial Order of St. John Knights of Malta, Mantel-Medals, and Swords.

When de ranked it is only the medals which was achieved by the hold rank.

 

NOTE: An ICGM can also receive sanctions for mistakes made in he’s/she’s live outside the Order.

As he or she is a role model for everyone else, all ICGM is expected to behave in the Order and Outside the Order as good humans.

The Pledges and Virtues taken is a part of their lives.

 

 

 

 

 

COUNTRY GRAND MASTER & COUNTRY MASTERS:

CGM & CM

 

 

A Country Grand Master is appointed by the International Council, and with votes on 100% to 0%.

 

The CGM is under the same rules as the ICGM and will receive sanctions like them.

The CGM is very important link between the individual Country’s members and the IC

A CGM is responsible for the Individual Country and must act upon that.

The CGM appointing its own deputy and the IC approve the choice.

Also, the CGM will appoint the Country Masters for the Individual Country, and the IC will approve them.

 

If a CGM breaks any of the Golden Rules, he will face judgment by IC

The Sanctions will be like Sanctions for the members of IC.

 

Grand Master for the Country

 

If deranged the former master will stay the new rank for minimum 6 months.

After that the international council votes again for future status.

 

All votes regarding size of the Sanctions against masters, needs an 80% for, and max 20% against to be accepted. (If not achieved the SGM takes the decision).

 

Who break just one of the golden rules; He or She will be excluded from The Imperial Order of St. John Knights of Malta It is up to the International Council to vote for different outcome, such as de ranking to maximum level of commander or minimum esquire, CGM is elected by the IC alone, as they are the most important control unit in the Order.

 

Each CGM has to appoint he’s/hers own deputy but needs the approval of SGM.

 

The CGMs is not allowed to permit projects or members, who is not accepted in The Imperial Order of St. John Knights of Malta standard rules or permitted by individual decree.

 

If breaking a rule and is allowed to stay within the Order, there is a fine on 220 us dollars for every rule they have broken. (The fine equals 1 year’s donation).

 

Further are all regalia to be given back to the Order and can be retained after achieving the rank again.

 

Once regalia are given back to the order, the Donation must be paid again for retaining it.

Each Country Grand master is Responsible for finding 7 masters in he’s country

Each Master in the Order must always find and appoint his or her deputy.

 

 

Each Country Master is obligated to find:

 

3 commanders

5 Knights

1 Deputy

 

 

 

 

COMMANDERS AND GRAND CROSSES:

KC & KGC

 




Knight Commander

 

 

The Commanders is appointed by the CM and CGM.

All Commanders must be approved by the International Council.

 

Commanders are taking care of things as leaders in projects, arranging meetings, controlling the practical issues, and assisting the higher ranked officers.

 

The Commanders will also be responsible for appointing the Mentors to assist the new Esquires, the Mentors are appointed between the knights/Dames.

 

If Knight Commanders fails to follow the Golden Rules 2, they will be ranked Knights, for 4 months.

After that they will be evaluated by International Council for getting Commander Rank back.

 

 

 


Knight Grand Cross


 

The Honor of becoming a Knight Grand Cross is achieved by showing extraordinary service to the Order, both intern as well as extern. Before any Knight/Dame can receive this Honor, they must have received the recognition from at least one Grand Master, or 5 Knights/Dames who hold higher rank than the appointed member, The International Council votes the decision after receiving the appointment. Only The International Council or the SGM alone can approve this honor.

 

 

 

Knights


 

The Knight/Dame’s in The Imperial Order of St. John Knights of Malta is approved by there either 5 recommendations, or by 1 recommendation and evaluations of their personal CV.

 

If A Knight fails to follow the Golden Rules 2 times, he becomes an esquire and must stay so in 4 months then he is evaluated by the Masters.

 

If a Knight fails to follow the Golden Rules 4 times, he will be excluded from The Imperial Order of St. John Knights of Malta in disgrace.

 

Knights/Dames are also Mentors for the esquires. They must teach them and teach them the rules and conduct for The Imperial Order of St. John Knights of Malta.

 

The individual esquires are evaluated after 6 months by their CV and effort in the Order.

If founded the right material, they will be Knighted next upcoming investiture.

 

If after 18 months, they are not found proper for the Order they will be asked to step out of The Imperial Order of St. John Knights of Malta again.


The esquires are wearing a Medal of Honorable Knight when attending arrangements in The Imperial Order of St. John Knights of Malta where regalia are required, this is just until they are knighted, and then that medal is given back to the Order.


If an esquire fails to follow the Golden Rules 2 times he will be excluded from the order in disgrace, and never become Knight in The Imperial Order of St. John Knights of Malta.


Each broken rule counts as 1 time, so breaking 2 rules same time counts 2 strikes.

 

If a Knight/Dame fails to follow the Golden Rules 4 times he will be excluded from The Imperial Order of St. John Knights of Malta in disgrace.

If a Knight Grand Cross fails to follow the Golden Rules 3 times, he will be excluded from The Imperial Order of St. John Knights of Malta in disgrace.


Each broken rule counts as 1 time, so breaking 2 rules same time counts 2 strikes.

 

If a Knight Commander fails to follow the Golden Rules 3 times, he will be excluded from The Imperial Order of St. John Knights of Malta in disgrace.


Each broken rule counts as 1 time, so breaking 2 rules same time counts 2 strikes.

 

If a Country Master fails to follow the Golden Rules 3 times, he will be excluded from The Imperial Order of St. John Knights of Malta in disgrace.

If a Country Grand Master fails to follow the Golden Rules 2 times, he will be excluded from The Imperial Order of St. John Knights of Malta in disgrace.

 

If an International Council Grand Master fails to follow the Golden Rules 2 times, he will be excluded from The Imperial Order of St. John Knights of Malta in disgrace.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Further Sanctions:

 

 

When A Member of Imperial Order of St. John Knights of Malta loses, He’s or Her Rank, they will be obligated to give all Medals Back to the Order.


The Price paid for the Regalia are then lost. Should one however retrieve their previous rank, they will have to donate to purchase the Regalia one more time.

 

When a member is excluded from Imperial Order of St. John Knights of Malta for any reason, they must give their Medals, Sword of King Solomon if obtained and Mantel back.


Membership ID and Batch the Uniform and the Dress sword is how ever private and for keeping.

 

If a member chooses to leave the Order, he or she will give back Imperial Order of St. John Knights of Malta their Medals and Mantel and Sword of King Solomon if obtained, and Membership batch if approved.


The Uniform and the Dress Sword is private and for keeping.

 

If A member Dies or must leave Imperial Order of St. John Knights of Malta for any valid and acceptable reason, she or he / or their family left behind is allowed to keep the Regalia in memory of their good standing with Imperial Order of St. John Knights of Malta.
